One Piece is by far my favorite anime, and one of the most original I've seen. Luffy is my hero: No baggage, speaks what he feels, always enjoying himself, extremely loyal to friends. Pirates and marines with special abilities duke it out. It's awesome. As of 4/9/2010 there are 446 episodes. And it's still going strong! I love it.
Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden are also fighting anime. Naruto is like Luffy from One Piece in many ways, though younger. I enjoy the fighting scenes more than anything else. The best fights are in the original Naruto, during the genin exams.
Bleach is another favorite. Also a fighting anime. I don't feel like I have any particular connection with the characters, but it's really well animated and some of the fight scenes are amazing. You just can't get this from cartoons in the U.S.
crunchyroll.com is awesome. You can watch a lot of anime for free, but I pay for 720p and 480p streams, as well as early access to many shows the day they air in Japan, such as Naruto.
dattebayo.com is where I get my Bleach.
Coffee Prince is by far my favorite Korean drama. Yoon Eun-Hye is so adorable, and Go Eun Chan is a great character. I found this while looking for another show with Gong Yoo (not pictured here.)
I Really, Really Like You (aka Love Truly) makes me happy. The over-the-top childishness of Yeo Bong-soon (center) makes me laugh.
Que Sera, Sera was a previous favorite. I was looking for another show with Eric Mun. Jung Yoo-Mi is a big part of the reason I kept watching it, though! What a cutie, seriously.
I found One Fine Day on crunchyroll. Gong Yoo is as awesome as Eric Mun, maybe more.
I had a difficult time watching it the first time, and made it through about 7 or 8 episodes. I wanted to slap Ha Neul around. God, woman! Infuriating. After several months, I'm picking up where I left off. So far, no urge to slap Ha Neul. I do like the show, though.
Super Rookie was my introduction to Korean dramas. It got me hooked. I like Kang Ho's attitude. Eric Mun is The Man!
I love studying spoken languages as a hobby, particularly Asian languages.
I know very little of each, but:
I've studied Mandarin and memorized Liang Shan Bo Yu Zhu Li Ye. I think tonal languages are fascinating. I became interested in the language while seeing a Fujian girl.
